What's actually happened
Imprinted concrete gets its colour from hardener worked into the top layer. The sealer is what makes that colour look deep. Take the sealer away and the same surface looks tired, faded and flat — even though the colour underneath has barely moved.
An unsealed surface is porous. It holds water, and moss and algae get a foothold in the joints and the pattern lines. That's the green you're looking at — it's on the drive, not in it.
Water soaks into bare concrete. It freezes, expands, and lifts the surface. Once it's pitting and flaking, resealing won't fix it. This is the point of doing it every couple of years.
How the job runs
It can't be done in one. The drive has to be thoroughly cleaned, then it has to be properly dry before a drop of sealer goes near it. Anyone offering to wash and seal the same afternoon is sealing water into your driveway.
Day one
The gap
Usually 24 to 48 hours, longer if it's cold or it rains. We don't guess this — the drive gets checked before anything else happens. Best to keep cars off while it dries: tyres tread dirt straight back onto the clean surface, and that has to come off again before the sealer goes down.
Day two
Day two only happens when the forecast holds. If it turns, we move the day — not the standard of the job. Sealer put down on a damp drive goes cloudy, white and milky, and the only fix is stripping the lot back off again.

Price depends on size, how far gone the seal is, and how much moss there is to get off. A tidy drive that's been kept on top of costs less than one that's been left ten years. Both get quoted the same way — on site, for free, with a number you can hold us to.
Most imprinted drives want doing again every two to three years. Get on that cycle and it stays a wash-and-coat job rather than a rescue.

This is a restoration, not a replacement. It's worth being clear about that before you spend the money, rather than after.
The part that matters
Some drives are past it. If the surface is pitting, flaking or lifting, sealing it is money on top of a problem rather than a fix, and you'd be better spending it elsewhere. You'll hear that from us at the quote, for free, before anything is booked in.
Everyone else's photos are of drives that were in good nick to start with. Yours might be. It might not. We'd rather show you what to expect from your drive than sell you a picture of someone else's.

Before you call
Walk on it the same evening. Vehicles the next day as a rule, and longer if it's been cold. You'll get told straight on the day rather than a stock answer — sealer cures on temperature, not on a timetable.
No, and be careful of anyone who says it will. It'll look like the drive you had a few years in, not the drive you had on day one. Colour comes back, the green goes, the pattern reads properly again. Wear where the tyres turn, hairline cracks and old stains are part of the drive now. Most people are surprised how far it comes back — but we'd rather set that expectation than beat it by accident.
Wet look is the glossy finish most people picture when they think of a sealed drive: deep colour, obvious sheen. Matt gives you the same colour and the same protection with far less shine. Both are the same product family, same protection, same price. It's taste.
It can be, in the wet, if nothing's done about it. Anti-slip grit goes into the final coat as standard on anything sloped, and on steps. Ask for it on a flat drive too if you'd rather have it.
Usually, yes. Cracks get filled and colour-matched before the sealer goes on. They won't disappear — anyone telling you otherwise is selling something — but they stop being the first thing you see, and sealing stops water getting in and making them worse.
We can, but a washed drive with no seal on it is a drive that'll be green again by next winter. The wash is the cheap half of the job. The seal is the half that does something.
